KRISTIAN FRAGA

Founder & Co-CEO

Kristian is a graduate of the prestigious film program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 1997, Kristian and his partner, Producer Marc Perez, founded Sirk Productions. 

He recently directed three critically acclaimed feature documentaries as part of the Sopranos Sessions series.   The films cover the landmark HBO television series The Sopranos and feature interviews with critics, cast and creator David Chase. Based on the New York Times bestseller The Sopranos Sesssions, the three films had their U.S. theatrical release May 2021 in hundreds of theaters around country and started streaming on Amazon Prime this summer.   Kristian is currently producing a documentary feature for the recently opened Barrymore Film Center, about the Barrymore acting family featuring prominent actors like Jodie Foster.  In 2010 he wrote, directed, and produced the feature documentary Severe Clear, based on video footage shot by members of the Marines at the outset of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The Hollywood Reporter called it “a visceral true-life portrait of the brutality and chaos of war.” The film had its world premiere at SXSW and received a Jury Special Mention at the International Rome Film Festival. Severe Clear had a 10-city theatrical release in the United States, playing in highly-regarded theaters such as New York’s Angelika Film Center and the Hollywood Arclight. In 2005 Kristian directed the feature-length documentary Anytown, USA, a look at the charade of partisan politics in an increasingly polarized nation. He won the Emerging Filmmaker Award for Best Documentary at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Film Festival and the award for Best Director at both the Trenton and Staten Island Film Festivals. Anytown, USA was also featured at the Atlanta, Woodstock, Newport Beach, and the True/False Film Festivals.  The film was theatrically distributed by Film Movement in 13 U.S. cities.  In 2001, Kristian produced and directed the award-winning PBS documentary The Inside Reel: Digital Filmmaking, which The Hollywood Reporter dubbed “a must see for anyone who loves movies.” 

In addition to producing film and television projects, Kristian has also directed dozens of award-winning commercials and branded content for clients that include Abrams, Altec Lansing, Hasbro, StarVegas, and Major League Soccer. 

MARC PEREZ

Marc Perez is a Spanish-American Emmy® Award winning director and producer.   In 1997, Kristian and his partner, Producer Marc Perez, founded Sirk Productions. 

In 2005, Marc executive produced the award-winning feature length documentary Anytown, USA (Woodstock, Atlanta), a look at the charade of partisan politics in an increasingly polarized nation. In 2010, he produced Severe Clear (SXSW, Rome, IDA Docuweek) based on video footage shot by members of the Marines at the outset of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In 2014, Marc executive produced the feature documentary The Troublemaker (Havana FF), a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of the UN General Assembly.  With the support of a public grant Marc directed the 2017 NY Emmy® nominated film The Champion: A Story About America’s First Film Town, about Fort Lee, NJ’s role as America’s First Film Town.  His recent 3-part documentary series, “Sopranos Sessions”, about the epic HBO television series The Sopranos  had a 2021 release in hundreds of theaters around country and now on major platforms like Amazon Prime. The second part in the series, The Last Supper: A Sopranos Session was nominated for an 2023 NY Emmy® Award. Marc’s TV background has included the award-winning PBS documentary "The Inside Reel: Digital Filmmaking", "The Inside Reel" TV series featuring over 10,000 celebrity interviews and NBC Telemundo’s Tu Nite con Lorenzo Parro, the network’s first late night talk show.  Marc is currently directing Rise of the Barrymore,  about the Barrymore acting family featuring prominent actors like Jodie Foster.   Marc is also producing Citizen Stone, a multi-part documentary series about Academy Award winning director Oliver Stone, that is currently in post-production.  Marc recently completed directing Unfightable, a feature documentary about the sport of MMA for UnivisionTelevisa’s new Streaming platform ViX to be released in 2024.

Marc also serves as Head of Creative at Sirk and has also produced and directed dozens of award-winning commercials and content for leading brands like LG, Konami, Hover-1, Abrams Books, Combate Global, GlaxoSmithKline, Altec Lansing and Vivitar. Marc won a 2021 NY Emmy®  for directing a short form, Spanish language public service video for the U.S. Census, Por Qué Deben Responder Al Censo Los Latinos.  

Marc is on the Board of Trustees of the Barrymore Film Center, a new 260 seat theater and museum in the birthplace of the motion picture industry Fort Lee, NJ. Marc is a graduate of the NYU's Stern School of Business where he studied Marketing, Finance and Economics.
